RNDC

Beverage Alcohol Industry

Republic National Distribution Company (RNDC), based in Grand Prairie, Texas, is a leading national beverage distributor focused on wine and spirits. The company serves suppliers, customers, associates, and communities through a business model built on relationships, service, and consistent execution. RNDC operates in the District of Columbia and 38 states, giving suppliers broad access to on- and off-premise customers. With more than 10,000 employees, the company continues to help brands strengthen their market presence and connect with consumers in meaningful ways.

Company Foundation

RNDC’s background is shaped by the history of three long-standing, family-owned distributors that began as smaller businesses with strong local relationships. Each organization grew by serving customers closely, supporting suppliers, and building trust over time. Their shared values, similar operating styles, and commitment to service made joining together a natural step. This foundation gave the company a practical balance of family leadership, industry knowledge, and national scale, while keeping relationships at the center of its work.

Formation and Industry Role

In 2007, Republic Beverage Company and National Distributing Company came together to form RNDC. The merger combined decades of experience, strong supplier networks, and leadership grounded in long-term partnerships. With roots that reach back before Prohibition, the company has continued to grow within the three-tier system. Today, it serves a changing beverage alcohol market through local, national, digital, and direct-to-consumer channels, while maintaining a focus on quality, service, and responsible support for the partners it serves.

Recognition and Achievement

RNDC has earned recognition for technology, innovation, sustainability, wellness, and industry leadership. In 2025, the company received the Beverage Wholesaler Best Practices Award for Best Technology Innovation and the Globee Award for Best AI-Driven eCommerce Solution, where its eCommerce platform was named Best in Class and a Gold Winner. The company also received several Rémy Cointreau Distributor Awards for Fiscal Year 24/25 and became USDA Organic Certified through Natural Food Certifiers, reflecting continued attention to operational standards and supplier support.

Workplace and Career Growth

Republic National Distribution Company (RNDC) also supports people through career paths that introduce them to the beverage alcohol industry and help them build useful experience. Its College Recruitment Program includes a Sales Trainee role for emerging professionals who want practical exposure to sales, customers, suppliers, and business operations. The company also offers internships that allow students to work on projects aligned with company goals. These programs help RNDC develop future talent while giving participants a clearer understanding of distribution and relationship-based business.

Continued Industry Honors

The company’s recognition includes the 2024 Beverage Wholesaler Best Practices Award for a sustainability initiative and placement on the 2023 Forbes America’s Best Large Employers list. Earlier honors include a Beverage Wholesaler Best Practices Award, a 2018 nomination for The Wine & Spirit Trust’s Educator of the Year Award, Bronze Level recognition from the American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index in 2017, and the 2016 IABC Gold Quill Award for a redesigned website. These honors reflect steady contributions from associates and partners.

Recent Business Progress

In 2024, RNDC secured more than $100 million in new supplier partnerships, advanced operational excellence initiatives, and continued investing in its digital platform, eRNDC, which crossed the $1 billion threshold. These milestones show the company’s focus on supplier growth, improved service, and digital access across its footprint. By strengthening both operations and technology, RNDC continues to support brands and customers with tools designed to make distribution more efficient, scalable, and responsive to the needs of the wine and spirits market.

Market and Portfolio Expansion

In May 2025, RNDC expanded RNDC On Demand in partnership with LibDib to Florida, Virginia (wine only), Washington, D.C., Maryland, Colorado, Illinois, and South Carolina. The service allows suppliers to grow at their own pace with logistics and service support, while offering a path toward full-service distribution. In August 2025, the company also expanded with Pernod Ricard USA through the PRUSA GEM Spirits portfolio in 10 new markets, following earlier growth for Código Tequila and TX Whiskey. In July 2025, it added Missing Thorn in Georgia and Texas.
